My recommendation for a good place for a relaxing holiday in Asia - Bali, Indonesia

"The true beauty and serenity of Bali can be found outside of the main tourist area of Kuta. Explore Seminyak and Ubud" Everytime I visit Bali it has been a great way to relax, but each holiday or long weekend has been unique, because there is a great variety of activities. Whether you want to chill out in a private villa or splash out on luxury hotel, Bali has a staggering variety of accomodation. For activity there are great spots to party, good scuba diving, good surf and even some pretty good golf courses to keep you occupied. For the less sporty there are affordable spas and some great clothes, crafts and home decoration shopping. Every time I have gone to Bali it has been like a different holiday, whether it was a golf and scuba trip with the boys, a romantic getaway as a couple, or a long party weekend with a group of friends.

Some highlights of my Bali experience

Highlights included eating at Ku De Ta the hippest bar and restaurant in Seminyak. You can go early and chill-out on the sun loungers with a cocktail, looking out to sea whilst the sun sets. Scuba diving at the Tulamben wreck on the north of the island is a must. Its an easy shore dive with a spectacularly coral clad sunken ship. Played Bali Golf and Country Club. Many Balinese style boutique hotels and resorts have villas with private outdoor bathing areas at remarkably affordable prices.

Would like to surf Kuta beach if there are good waves, and still havent managed to play golf at the spectacular Bali Handara Kosaido Golf course which is in an extinct volcano bowl.
